Infinix Zero Ultra Curved AMOLED, 900 nits brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate

Infinix is set to launch the Zero 30 5G- its latest flagship smartphone in the Zero series to succeed the Zero Ultra from last year.

The company has gone all in regarding the features the Zero 30 5G will come bearing.

The feature I’m most excited about is the cameras, which Infinix has had challenges when compared to its rival smartphones.

Don’t get me wrong, the cameras are still top-of-the-class, especially after reviewing the Note 30 series including the Note 30 Pro and Note 30 VIP.

  • Infinix Note 30 Pro Review: A Showcase for Infinix

I’ll talk about the rest of the features below but let me dive into the cameras the Zero 30 5G will have.

Infinix is bringing dual 50MP cameras – one for the selfies and one in the rear – both of which will support 4K 60fps video recording. Yes, the selfie camera will be able to capture 4K 60fps video – something that gives the Zero 305G a jump ahead of the competition.

This rear setup will be dual and include two unspecified complementary cameras – either an ultrawide or a depth sensor. My speculation is we get a 13MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor.

The 50MP main will have OIS and shoot 4K 30 and 60fps video – the same as the selfie camera.

When it comes to design, Infinix is slapping a 6.78-inch 10-bit 144Hz curved(60-degree) AMOLED screen with support for HDR10 and a brightness of 950 nits. As a lover of bright, curved high-resolution high refresh rate screens, I’m going to be spoilt with the Zero 30 5G.

The good news doesn’t end here as we get Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for the front and back protection. You can opt for versions with an eco-leather back as well.

Colour options include Golden Hour and Rome Green(the phone will be launching in Italy)

The phone will also have dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

As a cherry on top of the premium design, we finally have an IP53 rating on an Infinix flagship. Granted this was expected as the Note 30 series has the same rating but still a really good thing.

Infinix Note 30 VIP is the first Infinix phone in years that’s so well-rounded, it’s almost to the point of perfection. It comes with incredible features and nice additions that make it a significant upgrade. Its great perks make it so easy to recommend and our full review is now up – head to Techweez.com #TakeChargeKe #InfinixNOTE30Series

The chipset powering the phone is still unknown but probably a top-end MediaTek Dimensity 5G chipset. The Zero 30 5G will have 12GB of onboard RAM and up to 256GB of storage with the option to expand. Android 13-powered XOS 13 will add 9GB of virtual RAM.

It will be a 5G smartphone and with Airtel 5G and Safaricom 5G already available in most places in the country, you’ll be well-sorted when you’re out and about.

Battery capacity is still unknown but we expect a 4500mAh battery with either 120W or 180W Thunder Charge. Last year’s Zero Ultra could charge from empty to 69% in under 10 minutes.

This year Infnix introduced All-Round FastCharge which now includes fast wireless charging which we saw with the Note 30 VIP which has a 50W wireless charging pad that supports up to 15W fast wireless charging.

It is unknown if the Zero 30 5G will support fast wireless charging.

Launch Date

Infnix will be launching the Zero 30 5G early next week in Venice, Italy as I mentioned above. A Kenyan launch is slated for early September.
