The release of EA Sports FC 24 (FIFA) is right around the corner and for some fans the soundtrack is just as big a deal as the gameplay. For the first time, a Kenyan song makes the list with Matata having the song Not Today officially in the list.

We Matata are set to make history as our track “Not Today” is picked as official soundtrack in the new EA SPORTS FC 24 (formerly FIFA) dropping Sept 29! 🎮🔊 Dreams do come true, and ours has become a reality. This achievement surpasses any plans we had for our music. We are still in disbelief!😱😱”, posted Matata on their X handle.
Matata released “Not Today” on November 4, 2022, and the song was produced by Hoost Music. The group is made up of male artists who are Kenyan but are based in Norway.
They are famous for other popular hits including Mare Mare, Gengetone Love, and Wababa among other songs.
EA Sports FC 24 Embracing Diversity
The popular video game franchise, formerly known as FIFA, has become synonymous with bringing the playlist to the pitch. Traditionally, the football console game mixes genres and has both new and old songs.
Perhaps recognising its global appeal, the game has, EA sports has now integrated lesser known artists among established names.
The new edition will have over 100 artists representing more than 30 countries featured to ensure all tastes are accounted for. The established names include Kendrick Lamar, Stormzy, Jack Harlow, and J. Cole. In addition, musical legends The Rolling Stones make the list

‘We’ve curated a player experience that celebrates diversity and discovery via new music and artists that defies genres, erases borders, creates football culture, and powers football life.” He added.
