Galaxy S24 rumours and leaks

As we step into the tech world’s ever-anticipating future, a fresh breeze of excitement has been ushered in by the latest leak regarding the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S24. Although official details are still under wraps, the leaks and speculations paint an intriguing picture of what we can expect from Samsung’s flagship smartphone, which is slated for release in early 2024.

S24: Design and Build

The most striking revelation from the recent leaks suggests that the Galaxy S24 will have a slight design departure from its predecessors. Samsung Leakers online shared 360-degree renders showcasing a flat-edged design.

This is a departure from the curved edges that have become a hallmark of Samsung’s Galaxy series. This design shift brings the S24 closer in resemblance to recent iPhone models, with metal sides adding a touch of elegance.

It’s important to remember that while renders offer insights into the phone’s overall design, finer details like materials and colours may still be in flux.

One notable design element showcased in the leaks is the presence of an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna on the phone’s side. This suggests that Samsung may choose to place this feature externally, a departure from previous Galaxy handsets where UWB technology was often integrated within the device.

Dimension-wise, the Galaxy S24 is expected to closely match its predecessor, the Galaxy S23. The leaked dimensions are approximately 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm. Additionally, rumours point to a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a visual experience reminiscent of its predecessor the S23.

Design and Display

Reports suggest that the base S24 and S24 Plus will retain the floating camera lenses seen in the previous generation. The S24 Ultra might undergo more noticeable changes, possibly reducing the number of camera lenses on the rear.

Additionally, there’s speculation about a lighter, stronger titanium frame for the Ultra variant, although its visual impact remains uncertain.

Camera Innovations

The specifics of the camera upgrades remain shrouded in uncertainty. While some earlier reports hinted at a larger main camera sensor, recent credible sources suggest that the camera specifications may not undergo significant changes. However, there’s still hope for improvements in image quality, with the possibility of a resolution bump for the S24 Ultra’s 3x zoom camera.

Recent rumours even suggest a potential shift from the 10x optical zoom to a more versatile 5x zoom for the Ultra variant. This change could enhance everyday usability, aligning with competitors like the Pixel 7 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

S24 Specs and Processors

It’s almost certain that some S24 models will adopt the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The processor is slated for release later this year.

However, reports also indicate that Samsung may revert to using its own Exynos chips in certain regions.

Additionally, leaks are suggesting that the base S24 and S24 Plus might receive a RAM boost, potentially featuring 12GB. The Ultra variant could offer an impressive 16GB of RAM.

Price Expectations

Obviously, concrete pricing details are still elusive. However, it is reasonable to assume that Samsung will maintain a pricing strategy similar to the Galaxy S23 line-up.

This approach typically includes a base model starting at around $800 and the Plus model at $1,000. The Ultra variant could command a premium price of approximately $1,200.

Samsung has historically catered to a diverse range of budgets with its Galaxy S series.

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy S24 remains shrouded in mystery and leaks. However, speculations suggest that Samsung is gearing up to deliver yet another compelling addition to its flagship Galaxy S series.

For now, we await the official unveiling.
