Samsung Officially Launches New Galaxy A Series Smartphones in Kenya

Samsung has today announced five new additions to the Galaxy A Series lineup for the Kenyan market. The new additions unveiled include the Galaxy A25 5G, Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A15, Galaxy A05s and Galaxy A05.

All the entry-level smartphones announced today have a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

Here are the smartphones with their specifications and prices:

Galaxy A25 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A24 5G has a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates. Powering the device is the Exynos 1280 chipset.

The smartphone has a triple rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel main, 8-megapixel depth lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It also comes with a 13MP front-facing camera.

The Galaxy A25 5G is available in a 6GB/128GB model going for Ksh43,000 or the 8GB/256GB model which will cost Ksh50,000.

Galaxy A15 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A15 5G also has a similar 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display to the Galaxy A25 5G. However, it has a lower refresh rate of 90Hz. The panel peak brightness maxes at 800 nits (HBM).

The Galaxy A15 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor.

The triple cameras at the back include a 50-megapixel main, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The smartphone also has a 13-megapixel front camera.

The Galaxy A15 5G is available in 4GB and 6GB memory options with storage capped at 128 GB. The phone will cost Ksh30,000 for the 4GB variant with the 6GB memory model going for Ksh33,000.

Galaxy A15 LTE

The Samsung A15 LTE features similar specs to the 5G model including the same 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED 90Hz display with peak brightness of up to 800 nits (HBM). It also has the same triple rear camera setup and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

The only difference is the processor, memory and storage options. The Galaxy A15 LTE is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. It is available with 3 memory options including 4GB, 6GB or 8GB. It is also available in two storage options – either 128GB or 256 GB.

The 6GB/128GB variant will go for Ksh29,000 while the 4GB/128GB variant will cost Ksh27,000.

Galaxy A05s

The Samsung Galaxy A05s spots a 6.7-inch FHD+ PLS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset.

The Galaxy A05s comes with 4GB of memory and is available with two storage options – 64GB or 128GB.

The variant 4GB memory paired with 64GB of storage will cost Ksh21,000 while the one with 128GB of storage will go for Ksh24,000. The 6GB/128GB will cost Ksh26,000.

Galaxy A05

The Samsung A05 has a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD panel, a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, and 4GB of memory. It has two storage options – 64GB or 128GB.

The smartphone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a dual camera setup at the back with a 50-megapixel main lens and a 2-megapixel depth lens.

The 4GB/64GB variant will cost Ksh17,000 while the 4GB/128Gb will cost Ksh19,000.
