TECNO Camon 30 Series Official Pricing in Kenya Revealed Ahead of Launch

TECNO Camon 30 Cameras

TECNO is set to announce the Camon 30 series later this month in the country. This will be their second product launch this year after the Spark 20 unveiling in early January and the delay of the Phantom V2 Fold which was expected to launch during Q1.

The Camon lineup is the company’s camera-centric midrange lineup now the Camon 30 will be lancing in the country in less than two weeks. We expect to see the Camon 30 Pro 5G, Camon 30 5G and base Camon 30 to be unveiled in Kenya.

The trio share some features including TECNO PolarAce Imaging System, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos sound, IR blaster, glass back and eco-leather back options, 50MP selfie cameras, Android 14 and HiOS 14, 5000mAh batteries and 70W wired charging.

Camon 30 Premier

The top smartphone in the TECNO Camon 30 Series is the Premier and comes with Dimensity 8200 Ultra paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage(12GB virtual RAM).

It has an LTPO screen measuring 6.77 inches with 144Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels 1400 nits brightness.

For cameras, we get a 50MP(Sony IMX890)main camera with OIS a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide. The three are housed in the zoom ring-designed camera island. The island is off-centre and has a red light at the top corner and an LED flash below.

The primary camera sports a dedicated Sony ISP(Sony CXD5622GG).

Camon 30 Pro 5G

The Pro shares the same Dimensity 8200 Ultra paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage(12GB virtual RAM). It has a 6.78-inch OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels.

The cameras too but lack the 50MP telephoto instead opting for a 2MP depth sensor.

Camon 30 5G

TECNO switches the Dimensity 8200 Ultra for a Dimensity 7020 processor.

For optics, we get a 50MP primary using a different sensor but still with OIS. It has a 2MP depth and VGA camera.

The phone’s display is a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate.

Helio G99 Ultra powers the base Camon 30.

The display is a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate

It comes with a 50MP main with OIS and two additional cameras.

Launch and Pricing Details

TECNO has opened up pre-orders for the Camon 30 series starting from the 4th till the 16th of April. The launch date could follow up after the end of the pre-order period and it is expected from either 17th or 18th April.

Deposits start from Ksh 5000, 8000 and 10,000 for the Camon 30, Camon 30 5G and Camon 30 Pro 5G respectively.
