The Director General for the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA), Mats Granryd, is leaving his role. Mats Granyrd will be stepping down next year after the MWC Barcelona 2025 concludes. He has served as Director General for 9 years. After stepping down, Granyrd assumes the role of special advisor to the Board until the end of 2025
“The GSMA board has a solid succession plan in place and I know they are going to find someone of the highest calibre to take on the role. In the meantime, I have no plans to slow down, I am more energised than ever by our progress and will keep pushing to deliver on our ambitious 2024 plan and KPIs!” wrote Granryd.
