Infinix, the smartphone brand, is steadily gaining ground in the smartphone market. The brand saw its global shipments grow by 18.8% year-over-year in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024. Based on IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker report, this is the fifth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth registered by Infinix.

Infinix prides itself as a popular brand among young consumers. This particular demographic is usually keen on the latest features and smartphone capabilities. For instance, Infinix unveiled the feature-packed NOTE 40 series early this year. This mid-range smartphone features the brand’s pioneering Cheetah X1 chip, innovative All-Round FastCharge 2.0, and Infinix MagKit.

Furthermore, Infinix partnered with BMW Group Designworks to develop a sophisticated, high-performance Racing Edition smartphone that is both visually appealing and powerful.
Gaming Smartphone
The Infinix’s GT 20 Pro gaming that comes with a dedicated gaming display chip is another innovative that product that caters to young smartphone users. This feature enabled the GT 20 Pro to be among the pioneers in offering support for PUBG Mobile and Honor of Kings at a stunning 120FPS.

Infinix Key Global Markets
Asia and Africa are the primary regions where Infinix targets consumers. The brand boasts a top 5 market share in more than 20 countries worldwide. The brand has maintained its No. 1 position in strongholds like the Philippines and Pakistan. Infinix’s dominance in Pakistan continued in Q2 2024, with shipments reaching a record-breaking 1.1 million units. This marked a staggering 272.3% year-over-year increase, solidifying the brand’s market leadership. Infinix’s hold of the Philippine smartphone market was evident in Q2 2024, with the brand holding a 16.1% market share.
Infinix shipments in Kenya saw a 6% increase in Q2 2024 compared to the previous quarter, solidifying its position as the fourth largest smartphone brand in the market.
The brand does better in the neigbouring nation of Uganda, at the end of Q2, the brand retained position 3 in terms of market share. In Tanzania, Infinix’s 19.7% market share in Q2 2024 also places it at number 3 in the East African country.

Up North in Egypt, the smartphone brand holds the 4th position in terms of market share. Infinix shipments increased by 21.2% from the previous quarter in Q2 2024. The brand’s presence in Saudi Arabia grew strongly in Q2 2024, with shipments surging 50.7% year-over-year. This rapid growth secured Infinix the fourth position in the market with a 6.8% share.
In Algeria, the smartphone brands hold an impressive position 2 in terms of market share. The country witnessed a rise of Infinix, with the brand’s market share soaring from 8.5% to 27.0%, in just a few months. This growth was fueled by a 36% sequential increase and a 469.1% year-over-year jump in shipments.
Infinix has rapidly expanded in Malaysia and Indonesia. In Malaysia, it surged to 11.1% market share, surpassing competitors. In Indonesia, it reached 14.4%, narrowing the gap with top brands. Both countries saw significant shipment increases, showcasing Infinix’s growth potential in Southeast Asia.
