Samsung Galaxy M05 was announced and released on 10th September 2024. The new devices came with a variety of many features.

Body Design

The device measures 168.8 x 78.2 x 8.8 mm, or 6.65 x 3.08 x 0.35 inches, making it a moderately large phone. It weighs 195 grams (6.88 ounces), offering a balanced feel in hand. The build features a glass front, a plastic back, and a plastic frame. It supports dual Nano-SIM cards with dual stand-by functionality.

Platform

Samsung Galaxy M05 runs on android 14, with One UI core 6.0, and it’s eligible for two major android upgrades. It’s powered by MediaTek Helio G85, built on a 12 nm processes. The CPU is an Octa-core setup consisting of two high-performance Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores running at 1.8 GHz. For graphics, it relies on a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, providing a solid performance.

Display

Samsung Galaxy M05 features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display, offering a large viewing area of 108.4 cm², which accounts for approximately 82.1% of the screen-to-body ratio. The resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio, resulting in a pixel density of around 262 ppi, delivering decent clarity for everyday use.

Main Camera

Samsung M05 main camera consist of two lenses. A 50 mp wide camera lens with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, and a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The camera also features an LED flash for low-light photography and supports video recording at 1080p at both 30 and 60 frames per second.

Its selfie camera features a single 8 MP lens with an f/2.0 aperture and also supports video recording.

Battery and storage

Samsung M05 is equipped with a 5000 mAh non-removable battery, providing substantial power for extended use. It supports 25W wired charging, allowing for relatively fast recharging times to keep you powered throughout the day.

This android device comes with a dedicated microSDXC card slot, allowing for expandable storage. Internally, it offers 64GB of storage paired with 4GB of RAM, which should be adequate for general tasks and app usage. Additionally, its storage type is eMMC 5.1 ensuring faster data transfer rates.

Communication

In terms of communication, Samsung M05 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with dual-band functionality and Wi-Fi Direct for seamless wireless connectivity. Bluetooth 5.3 is included, offering A2DP and Low Energy (LE) support for efficient wireless connections. For positioning, it is equipped with GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS for accurate location tracking. However, the device lacks NFC functionality and the radio feature is unspecified. It uses a USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging and data transfer.

Samsung Galaxy M05 is available in a Mint Green color, offering a fresh and appealing aesthetic. It comes in two model variants: SM-M055F and SM-M055F/DS.
