Samsung is stepping up its mobile security game as it prepares for the future of AI and new digital threats.
The company has introduced a set of powerful updates, including Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), smarter Knox Matrix defenses, and quantum-safe Secure Wi-Fi, to help users enjoy personalized AI features with greater privacy and protection.
Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP)
One of the biggest updates is KEEP, a new system that keeps your personal data locked down on your device. It creates encrypted storage spaces for each app, so only the app that created the data can access it while sharing between apps.
KEEP works with Samsung’s Personal Data Engine, which powers smart features like Now Brief and Smart Gallery Search.
All your routines, preferences, and insights stay on your phone and are further protected by Knox Vault, a secure hardware-based zone inside your Galaxy device.
In short, KEEP gives Galaxy AI the power to be personal while keeping your information private and under your control.
Knox Matrix
Samsung also upgraded Knox Matrix, its system that protects all your Galaxy devices. With the new update in One UI 8, if one device is compromised, say through identity theft or system tampering, it will automatically log out of your Samsung Account to prevent the threat from spreading.
You’ll get alerts across your devices and be directed to a “Security Status” page to check what’s wrong and take action. Even older devices will warn you of potential risks so you can stay ahead of threats.
Secure Wi-Fi Is Now Quantum-Proof
Samsung is also preparing for the future with quantum-safe encryption on Secure Wi-Fi. This tech is designed to protect your internet traffic even from powerful future computers that could break today’s encryption methods.
New features include:
- Auto Protect: Automatically secures Wi-Fi in public places like airports and cafés.
- Enhanced Privacy Protection: Hides your identity and internet activity from trackers.
- Protection Activity: Shows you what apps and data were protected over time.
Alongside the new features, Samsung is keeping its strong core protections:
- Knox Vault keeps passwords and biometrics safe in a separate part of your phone.
- Auto Blocker stops suspicious apps and attacks before they can do harm.
- Advanced Intelligence Settings let you turn off cloud-based AI features so all your data stays on-device.
With these updates, Samsung is building a security system that’s ready for smarter AI, stronger threats, and more connected devices.
