It is October and we are just a few days away from the Android 4.4 KitKat and nexus 5 announcements by Google. As expected, there are more leaks coming and the clearest yet photo of the upcoming Nexus 5 was leaked in the forums some hours ago.
Here’s a look at the image:
Is this the Nexus 5? It bears close semblance to the mysterious device with Nexus branding that we saw with the Android KitKat introductory video a few weeks ago and is in line with what most of us expect.
Nothing much is known about the Nexus 5 but leaks over last weekend point to it packing a 4.97 5 inch full HD display with 442 ppi, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 8 MP for the main camera (with OIS) and 1.2 MP for the front-facing shooter alongside a 2300 mAh battery. LG is still the expected maker of the next Nexus since it will be based on LG’s 2013 flagship, the LG G2. As you can note, those are very high end specs and are contrary to what we expected of the Nexus since traditionally Nexus devices don’t usually come with cutting edge technology but everything points to Google going for the very best with its latest Android reference device. While there’s uncertainty on the specs, there’s a lot of consistency in the leaked images. This is highly likely to be what the Nexus 5 will look like. What will it have inside? We can only speculate. For now.
