Branded Ultra-high-capacity inkjet printers, Epson has launched three printers in the Kenyan market with an aim to offer reliable, cost-effective print solutions to the budget-aware consumer. This launch comes at around two weeks after Epson exerted it’s presence in the Kenyan market with 2 employees in the Kenyan office. These printers will retail at Kshs. 17,100, 19,000 and 30, 300 for the L100, L200 and L800 respectively. The L800 and L100 offer print only capabilities while the L200 has print, copy and scan features. Epson offers a one year warranty for the printers. Epson will roll-out over 140 products in the market soon with each one of them engineered for business, offer superios after-sales-service and a stronger distribution network in the emerging markets, Kenya being one of them. The products will range from printers, LCD projectors for business and the home to electronic and crystal devices.

The inkjet printers are high volume, with each cartridge handling upto 70ml for each colour and have special refill bottles that ensure that there is no mess during the re-fill process, while at the same time saving on running costs. The refill bottles have Fast Ink Top-up (FIT),to ensure minimal ink leakage while the cartridges have specially designed air-tight caps and filters and choke valves which control the ink flow, hence avoiding backflow. The printers have six colour bottles for much higher print quality than the average printer, the colours being: black, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta.
