Sony hasn’t gotten out of that position between the rock and a hard place where profits and losses are concerned. This marks the second year straight of no profits. The Next Web reports that Sony Executives have since yielded to a proposal by their CEO Kazuo Hirai backed that the Sony Board to forgo bonuses in this fiscal year. A sum that would take the annual pay down between 30-50%. The CEO had already given up his share of bonuses and it seems this hasn’t taken the company where it wants. There are shareholders to appease, possibly the reason for the pay cut.
Sony earlier this year released a high end waterproof Xperia Z and it seems this either doesn’t get them to the promised land even with bikini clad ladies in shower cubicles at malls to demo how waterproof the device is.
