Samsung today announced the ATIV series of devices, and one of them was the ATIV Q that was quite interesting. Firstly, the device can dual-boot Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Windows 8, you can even copy data from Windows to Android and vice versa, it has a stylus, camera and four modes with which you can use it.
The first mode is laying the display flat on the keyboard to use it like a tablet.
The second mode is where you can use it just like the ordinary laptop
The third mode is one where you can float it and choose the angle you would want to view it from.
Fourth mode is where you can flip the display to place in the stand mode and have the keyboard face the other side away from you.
Beyond that, you get QHD (3200 x 1800) display which is a whopping 2.8 times more pixel density than the ordinary full HD display, this on a 13.3 inch tough screen. Samsung says it has display optimized for great viewing regardless of lighting, even in outdoor environment.

Very cool.
Previously I was frowning upon convertibles, this one changes things.
This is a sleek device.
Intriguing device. The Hinge mechanism in Particular. As far as the Dual Boot option, time will tell if this a popular option (must be a BlueStacks variant running in the background) . It could go either way.
Quite enough bloggers have also caught the ATIV Q bug, with many behaving like babies when they saw what it can do. Actually I have rethought my dream device from the Series 7 Chronos to ATIV Q.
Waiting!.
