The internet has not been short of rumours of the impending launch of the smart watch by Samsung named Galaxy gear. These include a confirmation by Samsung Mobile President J.K Shin that indeed the electronics giant will be launching both a smart watch and the next Galaxy Note device, the Galaxy Note III.

Now EV leaks shared a very convincing screenshot of the Galaxy Gear connection application called Gear manager. This reveals that indeed there is the device and also that it will connect to other devices via NFC and on the absence of that there is an option for Bluetooth.

Galaxy Gear will have Samsung Apps store available, not sure Samsung will have Google Play on it. The other app is Find My Watch that is naturally meant to assist locate your smart watch incase you can’t locate it or it’s been snatched. There is the my apps and the clocks applications also .

The Galaxy Gear is expected to be launched at IFA in Berlin next week where Samsung will have an exclusive launch event, Samsung Unpacked Episode 2 and we will be covering it as it happens. Can you wait to find out what’s coming?
