Caitlyn Jenner (Formerly Bruce Jenner) has broken the Twitter record for the fastest growing Twitter account, where she gained 1 million followers in only 4 hours. The previous record was held by President Barack Obama’s Twitter account @POTUS which was launched 2 weeks ago and did it in less than 5 hours. She even tweeted about the achievement.

For those who don’t know Caitlyn Jenner, she was previously called Bruce Jenner from the hit American reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians which is aired on E! on local satellite & cable TV providers (DStv , GOTV & Zuku)
On April this year, she had announced her transitioning coupled with an interview with an American TV network, which resulted to a flurry of tweets commenting about the news. According to Nielsen, the news generated around 972,000+ tweets from 403,000+ unique authors, which showed a great interest in the subject.
According to Topsy as per the time this article was posted, 838,000+ tweets were generated from the Keeping up with the Kardashians reality TV show star unveiling. As of now, her Twitter account follow count stands at 1.9 million.
The previous record holders include Robert Downey Jr. @RobertDowneyJr who in 2014 managed the feat in less than 24 hours and Charlie Sheen @charliesheen who 3 years earlier was able to crack the record in slightly over 25 hours.
