Facebook Live video is the social network’s live broadcasting platform that was launched on the last half of 2015 and has been rolled out extensively to users. It has been used by celebrities, verified pages and individuals too for sharing specific moments with their friends.
However, you may find yourself missing this posts and that is why on Pages, you can “tap to subscribe” so that you may not find yourself missing a post. A notification pops up on your notification tab alerting you of the live broadcast where now you can choose to watch it. Well, you don’t always find yourself liking only one Page and if you have liked several Pages, those notifications are bound to be annoying.
According to a report by Digiday, Facebook is working on a setting that will let you disable all notifications for live videos and will be rolled out in the next few weeks. The only way you could disable notifications from a Live Video broadcast is going to the Page and turning off notifications. With this new feature, it will make it easy for you to disable all of them at a go.
Live Videos have gained importance of late and Facebook have noticed its use on the platform where people were watching them three times as much as the traditional videos. This activity prompted Facebook to give Live Videos prominence on the News Feed where they will rank higher than other posts. As Guy Kawasaki noticed, Facebook Live Video is a force to be reckoned with and that is why the company has taken the complaints about the feature seriously and are currently working on a solution.
