YouTube is a massive network and it was a brilliant purchase by Google way back in 2005. It has grown to have over a billion active users who watch hours and hours of video every month. The variety of videos on YouTube is also something not to scoff at and it has shown time and time again that people are quite creative.

However, from time to time, we get to see certain videos becoming quite popular and YouTube usually lists them at the end of the year. We are nearing the end of 2016 and YouTube released the top trending videos of the year and also the ones that were trending specifically in Kenya.

One of the reasons why people use YouTube is to watch music videos and in Kenya, the most watched music video is by the Tanzanian artiste, Diamond Platnumz. It is not a surprise that it has nearing 10 million views and you have probably seen it being shared across the various social networks.

YouTube also added another list of the top videos that caught the attention of Kenyans where a video of some students from Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls dancing emerged as the top.
