For a while now, Huawei has been releasing two flagship lines in different times of the year. The Mate series which is usually announced late in the year and the P series that is usually announced at the beginning of the year.
Well, we are still in the early stages of the year and now Huawei has confirmed that they are announcing the Huawei P30 towards the end of next month.

The short video that accompanies the announcement shows an array of photos taken in Paris of various known monuments like the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe.
The interesting bit about the video is that they are alluding to the P30 featuring an impressive camera yet again. Huawei teases an impressive zoom on the P30 which looks like it might be better than the 3x zoom we saw on the P20 Pro last year. The photos also look like they were taken with a wide angle camera, which means that the P30 might feature a wide angle camera like the one introduced with the Mate 20 line.
The P20 Pro was lauded last year for its impressive feature set which included a 40MP main camera, a 20MP monochrome camera and a 8MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom. This set could allow you to take great low light photos with the main camera and detailed zooms with the telephoto camera.
The P30 seems like an exciting upgrade to the P20 Pro and it seems like the cameras will yet again be the main selling point of the product line. I would also expect it to have the same Kirin 980 processor as the Mate 20, same wide angle camera as the Mate 20 and a 4000mAh battery.
The unsure bits are whether they will go with the ‘hole punch’ displays they are using with the Nova lineup or go with the notch again that features face recognition tech like in the Mate 20 Pro. We will be updated on all of this on March 26th.
