Infinix has announced the availability of their new smartphone, the HOT 7 . It comes hot on the heels of the previous announcement of the availability of the more expensive Infinix Hot 6.
The Infinix Hot 7 will come in two variants: a 16GB/1GB RAM/single camera variant which will retail for Kshs 9,999 and a 32GB/2GB/dual back camera variant that will retail for Kshs 10,999.
The Infinix HOT 7 has a 6.2 inch 720 by 1520 IPS display with a 19:5:9 ratio and a notch. It runs on the Mediatek MT6580 processor and runs on XOS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The 16GB/1GB version is an Android Go edition which is a variant of Android that is built to run well on entry level phones like it.
One variant has a single 13MP camera at the back while the other one has a dual 13MP +2MP primary system. The 13MP primary camera has a wide f/1.8 aperture which means better low light photos. The selfie camera is an 8MP unit with a front LED flash for both units.
Both variants share a massive 4000mAh battery bank which is great since great battery life on a phone is crucial and we like to see this trend being the norm.
There is also face unlock and a fingerprint scanner to secure your phone. Infinix also boasts of their DIRAC mode which promises a powerful sound output when you play content with the phone.
The phone comes in a bunch of colours which includes Midnight Black, Cosmic Purple, Champagne Gold and Aqua Blue giving you more options for you to choose from.
