It appears Safaricom’s mobile data services are down.
This has been ongoing in the past 30 minutes, so if you cannot access the internet at the moment, then the problem is with the carrier, and not you.
Also, the affected parties are posting their complaints on the telco’s social media pages.

Safaricom has, fortunately, acknowledged the issue, and we are certain the fix is on the way.
Also, we are not sure what has caused the issue, but typical to the carrier’s trend, it will communicate its findings to people as soon as everything is resolved.
We hope the operator will fix the situation in a timely manner.
