Huawei Y6s Pre-order

Huawei Y6s Pre-orderHuawei  Mobile Kenya is set to launch the Huawei Y6s in early March. The Huawei Y6s is their latest entrant in the budget category that comes after the launch of the midrange Huawei Nova 5T. In the run up for the launch day, Huawei has opened up a pre-order window for the Huawei Y6s.

The Huawei Y6s comes to succeed the Huawei Y6(2019) that was launched in March last year. We got to play around with it, did a comparison review and a full review – it held its own. So what does the Huawei Y6s bring to the table?

There are some features it carries from its predecessors such as the single 13MP rear camera and 8MP selfie camera. A 6.09″ inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 by 1560 pixels, PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 3020mAh battery and Android 9 Pie.

Huawei updated some of the other features including bringing EMUI 9.1, MediaTek Helio P35 chip which is a relatively faster processor than the Helio A22 chip found in the predecessor.

Internals got upgraded too – from 2GB of RAM to 3GB of RAM and from 32GB of onboard storage to 64GG of onboard storage.

The phone will come in two colours, namely Orchid Blue and Starry Black and both look beautiful. It’s worth noting that the Huawei Y6(2019) had a Amber Brown version that came with a faux leather design that gave it a premium look.

Here’s how and when to pre-order the Huawei Y6s

Consumers will have to visit any of the official Huawei retail stores across the country to pre-order the Huawei Y6s.

The pre-order window starts today(24th February) and you’ll be required to make payment ahead of the official launch where the Huawei Y6s will become available in retail stores shelves on March 4th.

Consumers who make the pre-orders will get a gift hamper worth Ksh 1000.

Huawei is currently running an online teaser ahead of the launch of the Huawei Y6s where they are asking consumers to guess the price and one person will walk away with a brand new Huawei Y6s.

What they are saying

“We are excited to introduce another device in the Y series family under the entry-level category. As part of our strategy to dominate the market, we are focusing on bringing devices that have better specifications at an affordable rate and Huawei Y6s is among the entry-level game-changers,” Huawei Mobile Kenya Country Head, Jim Zhujie said.
