OPPO has chosen two creators, Laura and Moji as the brand ambassadors for its OPPO A92 smartphone for the next 12 months.
Brand ambassadors are one of the many ways brands market their products using personalities who use their product in engaging ways. It is a practice we have seen with many tech brands before, aside from the smartphone brands.
“We chose the two talents because of their high-quality and aesthetic images and videos in their content. we believe content creation is an art of storytelling. Finding unique ways of crafting and creating content adds value to people’s lives,” said Muthoni Wachira, Communication Manager at OPPO Kenya.
Both Moji and Laura are gospel artists with pretty decent YouTube subscription audiences. Their content is actually pretty good on YouTube and that is why OPPO singled out their content.
The phone in question was launched in Kenya quite recently with a sticker price of around KES 30,000. It has pretty decent specifications for the price. The A92 sports a 6.5 inch 1080p LCD screen housed in a body that looks pretty premium. It has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and runs on the Snapdragon 665 processor.
The phone has a lot of cameras: at the back we have a quad array featuring a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The Selfie camera is a 16MP unit. It also features a huge 5000mAh battery, USB type C port and runs on Android 10. You can check out our review of the phone here.
