Safaricom has a new M-PESA app that looks like it is built for 2021. The app is still under testing, meaning its official launch will go live in the coming days. The good thing is that anybody can test it (it is not closed), on both Android and iOS devices.
And when it goes official, we will dissect it and give you our assessment, but so far, we are quite positive about what it does at the moment.
Safaricom also has another popular app, mySafaricom. This is a utility app that combines all of its services under one roof. The telco has been updating it with new features and cosmetic overhauls.
Another update just went live, and it brings some interesting features that some of you may have been asking for.

We hope that the operator will continue honing the application in the future. So far, the app is better, and save for occasional slowdowns and its instability when using a data connection from another telco, or in some cases, crashes, it is a reliable companion that has found a home in many phones.
