WhatsApp recently updated its new terms of service and privacy policy that came under intense backlash early this year which made some people switch messaging apps.
The popular chat app then revised that change and it looks like they’ll be making it optional to accept the new terms on its platform.
WABetainfo reports that WhatsApp will allow users to continue using the app even if they don’t accept the new terms of service and privacy policy.
However, this option has not been extended to WhatsApp Business messaging. You’ll need to “review and accept the WhatsApp update” to chat with a WhatsApp Business account.
Chatting between regular WhatsApp accounts won’t require you to do so.
WhatsApp will soon publicly share this announcement.
