vivo V23 5G

vivo V23 5G was launched earlier today in Kenya. This is the company’s latest smartphone in the camera-centric V lineup.

Vivo is joining the list of 5G devices in the country with the V23 5G.

vivo V23 5G comes with a 6.44″ AMOLED(1080 x 2400 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ support and Schott Xensation Up protection.

vivo V23 5G comes with a flourite AG glass back protected by Schott Xensation Up for the front and back. You get a matte finish at the back with sparkles that shimmer under the sun. It is also resistant to fingerprint smudges.

UV light from the sun triggers chemical changes in the back that change the hues from warm to cool. You can get creative and cover some parts to get cool effects like this one.

There’s a fast and responsive in-display fingerprint reader located at a convenient height for instantaneous unlocking.

Under all this beauty is a MediaTek dimensity 920 processor coupled with mail G68 GPU and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of RAM.

vivo V23 5G ships with Android 12 and FuntouchOS 12.

FuntouchOS 12 ships with nice-to-have features like the ew UI design, extendable RAM support, ultragame mode and nano mini music player.

vivo V23 5G is powered by a 4200mAH battery that supports up to 44w fast charging. You can go from 1-65% in 30 minutes and 1 to 100% in 50 minutes.

vivo V23 5G packs quite the cameras to bring the V-series photography prowess.

We have a triple camera setup at the back that consists of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide with a 120-degree field of view and a 2MP macro sensor.

#vivoV235G runs on Android 12 and FunTouch OS 12.

In the selfie department, we have two dual front-facing cameras that include a 50MP wide and 8MP ultrawide housed in the notch. The ultrawide comes in handy when taking group selfies.

That’s not all. You get dual led lights in what Vivo calls Dual-Tone Spotlight flash for lowlight selfies.

The Vivo V23 supports up to 4K 30fps video recording for both the selfie cameras and main cameras – that’s pretty cool, especially for vlogging. You can also shoot at 1080p at 30fps.

Our full camera performance assessment will be linked below.

Vivo also launched the vivo V23e.

Vivo V23e comes with 6.44″ AMOLED screen, Android 11 and FunTouchOS 12, MediaTek Helio G96 processor, 64MP triple camera setup and 50MP dual selfie camera(4k 30fps for both mian and front facing cameras), 4050mAh camera that supports 44W fast charging, and indisplay fingerprint sensor.
