Safaricom is always trying to make its network better. And from time to time, it schedules maintenance work to address some internal infrastructural issues.
The exercises have reduced significantly over the last couple of months, but there is one that will happen tonight.
As usual, the work will be done when the majority of customers will be asleep. This is so because the carrier has to find the best time when customers will be least affected by an outage.
To note, the maintenance of network service will occur on the morning of Sunday 10th July 2022, from 1.30 AM to 3 AM.
Another similar exercise will take place on the morning of Monday, 11th July 2022, from 1.30 AM to 3 AM.
Here are the services that will be unavailable over that period:
- Airtime top-up and balance inquiries
- Data bundle purchase
- Okoa Jahazi and Tnunukiwa purchases
- SIM swap
- Bong point earning and redemption
- All tariff changes, including joining or leaving PostPay
The following, however, will be available:
- Calls
- Data access
- All M-PESA services
To this end, all subscribers are asked to make the necessary arrangement so they are not inconvenienced.
