Phantom X2 Series

Phantom X2 Series

TECNO’s most awaited flagship smartphone series will soon be launching in the country. The tech company will be bringing the Phantom X2 and X2 Pro in Kenya with a launch set for later this month.

The Phantom X2 series was launched last month in Dubai and will soon be available here.

The regular Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro are incredible devices from their features and specs. The series is powered by Dimensity 9000 5G(4nm) chipset and Mali G710 MC10 GPU paired with 8GB RAM and 12GB for the regular and Pro version respectively. HiOS adds  5GB of virtual RAM.

TECNO Phantom X2 Specifications and Price in Kenya

They both come with 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage and 5160mAh batteries with support for 45W fast charging.

They also feature a slightly curved 6.8″ Super AMOLED display(1080 x 2400 pixels) with P3 wide colour gamut and rocking a 120Hz refresh rate in a 20:9 aspect ratio. Gorilla Glass Victus is present for protection.

For software, they both come with Android 12 and HiOS 12 straight out of the box. It’s a bit disappointing as Android 13 has been out since its release in August last year.

However, TECNO says that the series will be getting Android 13 upgrade later this year. It’s still a long way to wait especially for a device going for over 100K and with its rivals already boasting of running on Android 13.

TECNO has guaranteed that the Phantom X2 series will get upgraded to Android 13, Android 14 and probably Android 15 when Google launches it. https://t.co/cffQ5Wj8GF
