OPPO Reno8 T 5G is pretty light and slim coming at 171 grams and 7.7mm thick. OPPO Reno8 T 4G has a fibreglass-leather design while the 5G version uses a plastic back. The former has a leather stitching pattern at the sides which the company says gives the phone a premium feel and look.

OPPO Reno8 T series comes in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black for the 5G version while the 4G version comes in Sunset Orange and Midnight Black as well.

OPPO Reno8 T has 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. While the 5G version is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, the 4G version has a Helio G99 processor. They both ship with Android 13 and ColorOS 13 straight out of the box. The OPPO Reno8, Reno7 and Reno6 also run on Android 13.

ColorOS 13 brings RAM Expansion feature that lets you expand the available RAM to up to 8GB of virtual RAM.

Both 5G and 4G versions have the same 32MP selfie camera and a 108MP triple camera setup for the 5G version while the 4G version has a 100MP main lens accompanied by a 2MP micro and 2MP monochrome lens. The orbit light around the microscope light can be used for notifications that can be personalized with the consumer’s preferred colour.

OPPO Reno8 T 5G is powered by a 4800mAh battery with support for 67W fast-wired charging while the 4G version has a bigger 5000mAh battery that supports 33W charging. 67W fast charging enables the phone to go from empty to full in 44 minutes.

“At OPPO, we never stop in our mission to create better products and services for our users. The all-new OPPO Reno8 T continues to show our investment in capturing the benefits of technology for our consumers. With OPPO’s first 108MP camera and a premium 120Hz 3D curved screen, we are excited to see how consumers will enjoy and interact with the device,” said OPPO Kenya’s PR manager Fredrique Achieng.

“And to encourage users to interact more with the brand and the new Reno8 T we have launched the #LevelUpwithReno8T dance challenge on our social media platforms. The challenge will see the top three contestants walk away with Ksh100, 000 for the winner, Ksh50, 000 for the 1st runners-up and Ksh30, 000 for the 2nd runners-up. OPPO fans can check our official social media pages to find out how one can participate,” she continued.
