On February 1, Samsung unveiled its flagship phone series for 2023, as well as a new version of One UI (5.1) to go with the latest hardware. However, contrary to expectations, Samsung did not limit One UI 5.1 to just the Galaxy S23 series. In fact, the company began updating older Galaxy phones to the latest version of One UI even before the pre-order period for the S23 series had ended.
The S23 series is available now, and Samsung has since revealed the global availability of the handsets at MWC, 2023.
Circling back to One UI 5.1, we are glad that Samsung is making sure the software goodies are making their way to older devices, including the A-series. This actually cements Samsung’s position as one of the OEMs with the best software support for devices. It supports major OS updates for four years (one more than Google), and security updates are sent for up to five years. No other phone company can match this, at least for now.
We have compiled a list below to update you about Galaxy phones and tablets that have been updated to One UI 5.1.
