If we ever did smartphone awards, then Infinix would be our winner for the most improved smartphone brand thanks to their flagship Zero 30 5G. Infinix Zero 30 5G is their latest smartphone in the country and I’ve been using it for a really good amount of time as my daily driver and honestly, this phone is an all-around performer.

The Infinix Zero 30 5G is not only my favourite flagship camera smartphone but it also excels in other parts – design, build quality and overall performance thanks to the powerful dimensity chipset and the 21GB of RAM. As a heavy multitasker who loves style and takes lots of photos – I have absolutely loved having the Infinix Zero 30 5G as my daily companion.

First Impressions Review: Infinix Made the Zero 30 5G Too Good

Infinix ships the phone with a TPU case, a 68W charger, and a Type-C charging cable.

Design

The premium design Infinix went with is easy to notice. It is really light, sporting a curved screen, and an eco-leather back which I loved. Friends who I gave the phone to check out were impressed by the modern, slender and featherweight look.

My unit is the Rome Green variant that features the faux-leather which gives a flagship look. Other colour versions include Golden Hour and Fantasy Purple. It has the Zero logo at the bottom and a rectangle camera island with gold accents that houses the three cameras and an LED -flash.

The curved back and the textured finish make handling the phone really comfortable, especially for long periods of time as you get to enjoy the screen.

Speaking of screen, the Zero 30 has a brilliant 6.78-inch curved vibrant AMOLED display which comes with a 144hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. It also has a peak brightness of 950 nits and supports HDR10. It is sharp, bright and responsive – perfect for not only consuming multimedia content but also gaming, and browsing on the web and social media.

The impressive screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

You get dual microphones, dual stereo speakers and an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance.
Biometrics include face unlock and an in-display fingerprint reader – both of which are really fast when you need to unlock your phone.

Infinix nailed it with the design of the Zero 30 and a lot of people will like it.

Performance

If the outside dazzled you, then the inside of the Zero 30 will stun you. the flagship is an ace performer. It comes with Dimensity 8020 chipset, 21GB of RAM(12GB Onboard and 9GB Virtual) and 256GB of storage. It also has Android 13 and XOS 13.1.

Performance was consistent – from light tasks such as checking my social media feeds and getting lost in multiple Chrome tabs to heavy gaming. Switching between apps was also smooth and as a s heavy multitasker, I appreciate the hassle-free handling of the Zero 30.

@techweez

Infinix Zero 30 5G is a beast! It’s got a 108MP triple rear camera, a 50MP selfie camera, 4K 60fps video recording, a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED 10-bit screen, a 144Hz refresh rate, a Dimensity 8020 processor, and 21GB of RAM. It’s also got IP53 water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, dual microphones, face unlock, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Battery Life

The Zero 30 5G has a 5000mAh battery that supports 68W ultra-fast charging. The phone will pull a full day of mixed use with some charge left for last-minute browsing or lazy binge-watching before you call it a night.

Once plugged in, you can go from empty to 80% in under half an hour. This means you can toss it in the charger when you wake up and you can go about with your morning routine. It’ll be full by the time you’ve had your long shower and breakfast before you head out and about.

Cameras

The cameras are obviously the highlight of the phone. There’s a 108MP primary camera with object image stabilization, a 13 MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. At the front is a 50MP selfie camera.

Infinix Zero 30 5G Camera Review

All the cameras including the front-facing camera shoot shoot 4K 60fps video.
Besides normal video modes, you get cinema-style vlog templates with themes ranging from sport, street, family, vintage, travel and more.

You can check out our camera performance review where we go in-depth with all the cameras and their features.

Infinix Zero 30 5G Camera Performance Review: Bringing the Heat

TL;DR: The phone is a beast when it comes to its cameras. The Zero 30 5G brings the heat with its versatile camera system and the performance is great in most scenarios. It’s a camera champ in my eyes.

VERDICT

As I had mentioned before, Infinix Zero 30 ticks all the checkboxes when it comes to flagship smartphones – from cameras, design, battery life and overall performance. You are getting a more than dependable smartphone which we highly recommend if you are in the market for an affordable flagship.

Infinix has launched their Mobile Vlog Awards 2023 and they have invited consumers to participate by submitting their vlog creations taken by the Zero 30 5G to win prizes including getting creative support for the winners by Infinix.
