Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 is happening early this time and in less than two weeks the tech giant will be expanding the Flagship Galaxy series with the S24 series.

Samsung is keeping the design from the S23 series with the S24 series and will include the regular S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra.

Qualcomm’s newest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will power the S24 Ultra while either the Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will power the S24 and the S24+. The Kenyan market will probably get the Exynos chipset as we’ve seen with the S23 FE launched late last year in the country.

RAM and storage configurations will start at 8GB for the regular while the Ultra and Plus will have 12GB and either 256/512GB.

Like clockwork, Samsung has hopped on the AI trend as the S24 series will have generative AI in the OneUI 6.1(Galaxy AI) the phones will come with straight out of the box.

Samsung is using titanium frames for the Ultra while the regular and Plus models will have aluminium 2.0 frames. They’ll come in various colours including Amber Yellow, Onyx Black, Marble Gray and Cobalt Violet.

The trio will have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display featuring QHD+(Ultra and Plus) and FHD+ resolution, 2600 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. The Ultra, plus and regular models will have 6.9-inch, 6.7-inch and 6.2-inch screens respectively.

For cameras, the ultra will have a 200MP primary camera with 3x and 10x telephoto while the Plus and regular models will have 50MP primary cameras and 3x telephoto.

Battery capacities start at 4000mAh for the regular S24 while the Ultra and Plus have 5000mAh and 4900mAh. Fast charging is supported as the regular can charge from empty to 505 in 30 minutes while the Ultra and Plus go to 65% from empty in half an hour.

All three phones will have IP68 ingress protection.
