The race in the world of AI seems to be getting heated by the day as the big tech giants look to have the most attractive model. Google which is now a big player, has visibly been looking to race against OpenAI, regarded by many as the current king of artificial intelligence. Well, Google has decided to integrate its latest AI model Gemini further into its ecosystem as it fully looks to replace Google Assistant.
Android users will now have Gemini as the default voice companion, with Google promising that it is a more enhanced, more intuitive and more efficient voice assistant experience.
Gemini, which was launched in early 2023, has been going through various modifications and upgrades, especially over the last few months. The AI model is powered by advanced machine learning algorithms and is designed to provide unprecedented personalisation and contextual understanding as a voice assistant.
The model is currently integrated into multiple Google services like Gmail, YouTube and Google Drive to automatically assist users with various tasks and better understand their routines and preferences.
Users will be able to notice that Gemini has some advanced writing capabilities compared to Google Assistant. Google promises that Gemini will enable users to craft better-quality emails, documents and messages through this ability.
The main question is whether Google will be able to really rival OpenAI which is clearly working intensely on developing and advancing ChatGPT over time.
