Apple iPhone 16 is Here, What’s new?

Apple iPhone 16

Apple iPhone 16 is expected to be released on 20th September 2024. The new Apple device comes with a lot of breathtaking features. Here are some of the features that will come with iPhone 16.

Body Design

The iPhone 16 features a compact and lightweight design with dimensions of 147.6 x 71.6 x 7.8 mm, weighing just 170 g. It has a glass front and back made by Corning and an aluminum frame for added durability. iPhone 16 supports multiple SIM configurations: Nano-SIM and eSIM for international markets, dual eSIM with multiple numbers in the USA, and dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) for China. Additionally, it also has an IP68 rating, making it dust and water-resistant for up to 6 meters for 30 minutes. This apple phone has featured Apple Pay where transactions have been made easy, using Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX cards.

Display

iPhone 16 features a screen size of 6.1 inches, providing 91.3 cm² of display area, with an impressive 86.4% screen-to-body ratio. The display is a Super Retina XDR OLED panel which supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, ensuring high dynamic range for stunning visual quality. Additionally, iPhone 16 features a typical brightness of 1000 nits and peak brightness of 2000 nits (HBM). The display is protected by Ceramic Shield glass, a durable and scratch-resistant material.

Platform

Apple iPhone 16 runs on Apple’s latest operating system iOS 18, providing enhanced features and security updates. The device is powered by the Apple A18 chipset, built on a 3 nm process. It features a Hex-core CPU, designed for multitasking and smooth operation across apps and tasks. Moreover, iPhone 16 graphics are handled by an Apple GPU with 5-core graphics.

Memory

Apple iPhone 16 comes with three internal storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, all paired with 8GB of RAM for smooth multitasking and performance. The device lacks a card slot for expandable storage. Also, the storage uses NVMe technology, providing faster data access and improved overall system responsiveness compared to traditional storage formats.

Camera

iPhone 16 dual camera setup comes equipped with a 48 MP wide lens with an aperture of f/1.6 and a focal length of 248 MP wide lens with an aperture of f/1.6 and a focal length of 26mm. It features a 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0µm pixel size, dual pixel PDAF, and sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS) for sharper images and stable video. The dual camera also has a 12 MP ultrawide lens, with f/2.2 aperture and 13mm focal length, offering a 120° field of view and 0.7µm pixel size. Additionally, it can record in 4K at 24/25/30/60fps and 1080p at 25/30/60/120/240fps.

Selfie camera

The selfie camera features a 12 MP wide lens with an aperture of f/1.9 and a focal length of 23mm. It uses a 1/3.6″ sensor with PDAF for fast autofocus. The selfie camera supports 4K video at 24/25/30/60fps and 1080p at 25/30/60/120fps, with gyro-EIS for video stabilization. It also includes features like HDR, Dolby Vision HDR, and 3D spatial audio with stereo sound recording.

Battery

iPhone 16 comes equipped with Li-Ion, non-removable battery. It Supports Power Delivery 2.0 (PD2.0), capable of charging the battery to 50% in 30 minutes (as advertised). Additionally, it also supports wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wired charging.
