Nailab is a startup accelerator who’s focus is growing innovative technology driven ideas and the incubator offers 3-12 month entrepreneurship program to startups. Business advice, technical training and support, professional mentoring and coaching, access to market, strategic partnership and investors are the key focus points for Nailab. On 23rd July of this year, The Nailab started accepting applications for incubation of startups for the 2012/2013 financial year. It’s nearing the end of the previous incubatees who have had a year of incubation with several successes amongst them. With 9 more days to go, I was informed yesterday that applications have hit the 200 mark. For the last incubation period, Nailab has had successes from tusqee, ghafla, weza tele, vive visuals, Mprep, Zeuron, Events and Beyond, Ukall, Cardplanet, Creative Community Network and briteskills.
Some startups like Ghafla, Tusquees and Weza Tele have since received over 3 million Kenya shillings while Mprep won 5 million bob. Mentors affiliated with Nailab include but not limited to Jeroen Louman from Accenture Netherlands and Isaac Kute of Cilkphoenix. For this year, Nailab has a new and improved training curriculum formulated with the assistance of Accenture Netherlands. See below the elements Nailab is looking for in a startup:

- Innovative character of the solution.
