Nokia could be on a roll again, remember when you would turn your head and hear a new Nokia phone, turn the other side and there is an iteration of the same with some different design or specs? Days are here, kind of like what Samsung is currently doing, only minus the Galaxy name. Well, Nokia is not yet there with Windows, but with Ashas there is quite a number. As Nokia decided to go all Windows for their smartphones category, the strategy is bound to be in their numbers method of naming. We are also aware that devices from Nokia with more than one zero or with a 10 as the last digit is a Windows phone 7 device, as of now. Nokia released the Lumia 710 to position it perfectly in the mid-range, and we can almost conclude that Lumia 720 is coming this quarter, in an announcement at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).
As it stands, Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 passed the FCC of Indonesia, the Directorate Post & Telecommunication some three days ago. Beyond that we dont know what will be different beyond the two devices having Windows phone 8 but it’s my wish that we wont have to suffer another device with 256MB RAM. Otherwise the two would be a welcome add-on to make the range of Windows phone options across the price range. Also as a way for Nokia to position itself against incoming competition from Huawei which has since announced the Huawei Ascend W1 and Ascend W2.
