HMD Global has unveiled the Amped Buds, a pair of wireless earbuds that double as a portable power source for smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.
This innovative accessory combines premium audio features with emergency charging capabilities, offering users a versatile solution for both entertainment and power needs.
The Amped Buds come with a sleek, ultra-slim charging case equipped with a 1,600 mAh battery. This case supports reverse wireless charging, allowing it to magnetically attach to Qi2-compatible smartphones and provide an emergency power boost.
For devices lacking wireless charging support, the case also features a USB Type-C port for wired charging.
Premium Audio Experience
Designed for audiophiles, the Amped Buds are equipped with 10mm drivers and support Snapdragon Sound technology, delivering high-resolution, lossless audio.
Users can enjoy customizable equalizer settings through the Amped Buds app, available for both Android and iOS platforms, tailoring the sound profile to individual preferences.
Additionally, each earbud features a triple-microphone array, enabling both Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC).
These technologies work in tandem to minimize ambient noise and enhance call clarity, ensuring an immersive listening experience even in noisy environments.
Extended Battery Life
On a single charge, the earbuds offer up to 8 hours of playback time with ANC turned off and 4 hours with ANC enabled.

The Amped Buds boast an IP54 rating for splash resistance, while the charging case carries an IPX4 rating, providing protection against dust and minor water exposure.
Weighing just 80 grams and measuring 14 mm in thickness, the ultra-slim case is designed for portability. The earbuds feature an adjustable hinge design for a comfortable fit and are available in three color options: Black, Cyan, and Pink.
Priced at approximately $206, the HMD Amped Buds are set to launch in April 2025. While availability in the U.S. market has yet to be confirmed, the earbuds will be accessible in various regions worldwide.
