Samsung has already hit the sweet spot of being number one in smartphones shipments, edging out Apple, the long time rival. Now in another victory, Samsung seems to be also hitting the right chords in terms of customer satisfaction. And this is in the markets that matter to them most.
The US and UK.
In a research done by both the National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI-UK) and the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), the Galaxy S III, last year’s flagship device from Samsung edges out both iPhone 4 and iphone 5 by scoring 84 compared to 82 for the two devices fromt he fruity company. This is on a scale of 0-100.
Main lows of the iPhone 4 include battery life preformance. The Galaxy S II of 2011 is quite close to the iphone 4 at 79. Apple however manages to stick at the top in overall mobile market customer satisfaction at 81 compared to Samsung which comes closest at 79. Trends show that Samsung is on the rise, and the said research was performed with the exclusion of the current flagship, the Galaxy S 4, and should it perform better then we are looking into an interesting future where Apple will be a number two overall.
Samsung also had serious contenders down the food chain ala the Galaxy Ace II which is just there at 77, the first gen Galaxy Ace at 75. Blackberrys Curve and Bold stand at 71 and 68 respectively.
