Windows Phone is known to get things quite late for users, mostly due to the platform being a distant third in OS market-share with less than 3%. But it’s always worth the applause when developers get their product on board, Microsoft is doing quite much that side.
Now VLC, one of the most robust media players is available on Windows Store for Windows Phone. Previously available as a download for PC on both desktop mode and tile mode, the app was pushed in BETA for some users before finally becoming available for all and sundry, still in beta.
The app which is free and open-source compliments the stock media player among other options and brings on board the versatility in playing most audio and video compression formats, files and streaming protocols.
