Just a few days ago, we learned that we were not far away from seeing Samsung introduce to the market the successor to its first to-market Tizen smartphone. While that may have seemed far-fetched at that time since most of us were fixated on the idea that the obvious successor of the Z1 would be the Z2, new images that have leaked via Twitter will surely remove any doubts. Well, at least until we hear from the Korean company in the next few days.
These are the images uploaded by a Twitter account associated with the Tizen watchers over at TizenCafe:
In case you missed the memo and are wondering why there’s a Facebook application (Instagram) running on the Z3 then you should note that just a few days ago, like we had heard previously, Facebook formally introduced its applications to the Samsung-backed platform. Facebook’s Messenger and Instagram are available on the Tizen store for download and installation by anyone in possession of the Samsung Z1 which has reportedly sold over a million units in India and Bangladesh, the only markets it ever went on sale.
The Z3, running on the latest Tizen 3.0, is also expected to launch with support of the said applications so as to boost its popularity amongst potential customers. Today’s smartphone usage is driven by apps right from cheap entry level models to the more expensive high end ones. Tizen won’t be getting any special treatment in case it flops in this department and Samsung knows that so well.
The Samsung Z3 is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Tizen Developer Conference in India at the end of the month. The build number Z300HDDD1BOG1 more than confirms the Z300H model number we’ve heard of previously.
The samsung Z3 is expected to feature a 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel selfie camera as well as a 2600 mAh battery.
