The Tecno DroiPad 8 II we just reviewed is not the only tablet that Tecno is fronting this year. Another tablet, the Tecno PhonePad 7 II, will be hitting the market soon.
The Tecno PhonePad 7 II was revealed this morning during the launch of the Jumia Mobile Week 2016 in Nairobi by Tecno Mobile Kenya’s head of tablet department, John Marshal.
The tablet, as the name insinuates, has a 7-inch display and will be more like a big smartphone than a small tablet in terms of usability.
With the PhonePad name, the device is bound to evoke memories of Asus device brand from the past, the FonePad.
Size and branding differences aside, spec-wise, the Tecno PhonePad 7 II is expected to borrow a lot of the specifications and features of the DroiPad 8 II. For instance, memory is the same, the camera sensors are the same and, like the DroiPad 8 II, the PhonePad 7 II will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and be 4G-ready.
