The country and the whole world waited for the results of their referendum which stated: “Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?” The results were surprising. Out of the over 33 million votes cast in the referendum, 17.4 million people representing 51.9% of the votes cast voted to leave the EU.
