Fans of the hit UK motoring show Top Gear can look forward to one more thing as they await the show’s return next year: mobile games.

BBC Worldwide, which owns the rights to the Top Gear franchise, has licensed Finland-based mobile games developer Motorious Entertainment to develop at least 3 games based on Top Gear.

The first game is said to be titled Top Gear the Road Trip and it will be available before the end of the year. The game will take a format viewers and fans of the Top Gear show will be familiar with. Players will be able to embark on long road trips across Europe just like the trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May used to do before they left the show last year. In order to emerge top, players will have to use their knowledge of cars to tune them and strategize on routes as well.

The games will be coming to both Android and iOS.

Motorious Entertainment has raised $566,000 in seed investment to make development of the games possible.
