If you go to twitter right now and search the word “asshole”, the profile of the 45th President of the United States of America, shows up in the search results. According to TechCrunch, the reason for this is that Trump’s mentions are full of people calling him an asshole, and so this has convinced Twitter’s search algorithm that the word is associated with his account. The strange search result was noticed by Greg Jenner (@greg_jenner). Here are is what you get when you search the word “asshole”
All the other recommended accounts have the word “asshole” on their handle or in their bio, unlike President Trump’s.
This works when you search the words “racist” and “tinny hands” as well.
Update: Twitter has manually removed Donald Trump’s profile from the “asshole” search results but it still appears on the “racist” and “tiny hands” search results
