May was a difficult month for the smartphone manufacture Huawei thanks to the trade war between US and China. The whole drama between Google and Huawei threw the trust people had on the Chinese company to a disarray.
However, Huawei is still assuring people that they are still working on smartphones through a recent statement.
On a Q&A page, Huawei sought to squash doubts about such issues around the future of their smartphones. One of the major issues is whether current Huawei users will get the next version of Android (Android Q).
The company has now confirmed that 17 devices will get Android Q. This will make the owners of such devices very happy since Huawei has committed to updating them to the latest Android OS.
The devices are:
- P30 Pro
- P30
- P30 lite
- Mate 20 Pro
- Mate 20
- Mate 20 lite
- PORSCHE DESIGN Mate 20 RS

- P20 Pro
- P20
- Mate 10 Pro

To sweeten the deal further, Huawei has revealed that Mate 20 Pro will receive Android Q when it is released by Google. This is probably thanks to it being in the Android Q beta test and a sweet deal for Mate 20 Pro users.
