On a Q&A page, Huawei sought to squash doubts about such issues around the future of their smartphones. One of the major issues is whether current Huawei users will get the next version of Android (Android Q).

The company has now confirmed that 17 devices will get Android Q. This will make the owners of such devices very happy since Huawei has committed to updating them to the latest Android OS.

The devices are:

  • P30 Pro
  • P30
  • P30 lite
  • Mate 20 Pro
  • Mate 20
  • Mate 20 lite
  • Mate 20 X
  • Mate 20 X (5G)
  • P20 Pro
  • P20
  • Mate 10 Pro
  • Mate 10
  • P smart 2019
  • P smart+ 2019

To sweeten the deal further, Huawei has revealed that Mate 20 Pro will receive Android Q when it is released by Google. This is probably thanks to it being in the Android Q beta test and a sweet deal for Mate 20 Pro users.

This announcement comes after we saw news where Huawei’s founder admitting that they expect massive drops in revenue and smartphone shipments in the next two years.
