Show Battery Percentage on the iPhone XR

iPhone XR

Battery life is a massive importance nowadays so everyone needs to know how to show battery percentage on the iPhone Xr!

Mobile phones are forced to do so much more than before and there are thousands of people who rely on that one small device for their job. Social media influencers, app testers and uber drivers are just a few examples. People like this cannot risk their phone running out of battery and manufacturers are realising that. Battery technology in phones has come such a long way.

How good is the iPhone Xr battery?

The majority of batteries used in modern smartphones are non-removable. Of course, the battery can be removed by professionals but it’s not as simple as it used to be. It no longer makes sense for phones to be built with removable batteries as there are so many more things people want from their phones, like being water resistance, sleeker designs and better speakers.

The iPhone Xr was built with a non-removable Li-Ion 2942 mAh battery. Whilst there are phones out there with better battery capacities, this one holds itself well. You’re looking at having about 25 hours talk time on a single full time. Let’s be honest, who’s going to spend 25 hours on their phone without charging it? No one! The phone also boasts an impressive 65 hours stand-by. Overall, this is a pretty good battery and one that you really won’t be disappointed with.

Find the battery percentage

It’s actually super simple to find the battery percentage. It really is the norm to show battery percentage on the iPhone Xr, along with every other modern phone and it’s something we’re all quite reliant on.

Of course, you can always plug your phone in to charge to have the battery percentage on screen. This is great if you’re at home, getting ready for the day and just want to make sure you’re on full charge however, not so great in any other situation. If you’re on the move, no charger at hand, you can also swipe down from the top-right hand corner of the screen to reveal the control centre. Next to the battery icon, you’ll now see the icon.

Low Power Mode

I’d be surprised if you didn’t already know about the low power feature on the iPhone Xr. This is an amazing mode added to a lot of iPhones that saves your battery power. Your phone will turn off any unneeded resources such as radios, emails and downloads until you are able to bring your phone back up to full charge.

There are a few ways you can turn low power mode on, you just have to find the way that best suits you. The easiest way to turn the mode on and off first needs to be set up in your control centre. Go into Settings – Control Centre – Customise Controls and select the + next to the low power icon. Now whenever you want to switch to low power mode, you only have to swipe down from the top right corner and tap the battery icon.

You will also be able to activate low power mode by going into Settings – Battery and turning the mode on. If you’re feeling super lazy, simply ask Siri to turn low power mode on for you and go off on your day.
