EMUI 10 and EMUI 10.1 has seen rolling out to Huawei devices for the past couple of months. Huawei is now slated to launch EMUI 11 in Q3 this year.
This was confirmed by Wang Chenglu who’s Huawei Consumer Business President on Weibo.
EMUI 11 will be based on Android 11 that also launches in the same quarter.
The EMUI 11 announcement comes just in time for EMUI’s eight anniversary this year.
EMUI 11 will have Android 11 features and more additional features by Huawei.
We expect improved GPU Turbo, one-handed mode, navigation gestures, optimized system performance, new app icons, improved security, easy file sharing, optimized fast charging, built-in screen recorder and improved dark mode among others.
We don’t know the exact date but the launch will probably be during the Huawei Developer Conference 2020 that begins next month. EMUI 10 was launched during last year’s HDC so we expect EMUI 11 to follow that trend.
Betas for EMUI 11 will be open for testing for the recently launched Huawei P40 series.
EMUI 11 will come already baked in with Android 11 when the Mate 40 series launch later this year.
