The Best Reactions to Twitter’s New Design

Twitter rolled out a new redesign yesterday evening that includes a new web and app design, new in-house font the social media platform calls Chirp plus a high contrast black and white follow and unfollow buttons.

https://twitter.com/ztsamudzi/status/1425543466570985482

The new update had users share their reactions on the platform. To be honest, I love the font but the higher contrast colors are confusing especially when it came to the follow and unfollow button.

Here are the best reactions so far:

oh jeez I almost just unfollowed someone because I thought I had mistakenly unfollowed them at some point pic.twitter.com/4e8R73NkS1

twitter’s new user interface is so weird. the new font is ok but this new high contrast feature is so horrible, it hurts my eyes… pic.twitter.com/frfC9rTGim

the new twitter font looks dehydrated

— angel (@angelmendoza___) August 11, 2021

did twitter…just change its font in the last…uh…40 seconds?

— Charlie Warzel (@cwarzel) August 11, 2021

omg the Twitter font

— Katherine J. Wu, Ph.D. (@KatherineJWu) August 11, 2021

Ok but is anyone else getting a slight headache from the Twitter font change or just me

— Maks @ Soung of crying (finished P3) (@tuxedomakscos) August 11, 2021

ive heard several people say they have a headache and had to stop using desktop twitter for now

— 🐻🪤momo✧˚ . * ⋆✦ (@MomoFloraCards) August 11, 2021

I love how I use dark mode to prevent eye strain and headaches and then twitter is like "what if we made the follow button bright white on a dark background wouldn't that be great" no it's giving me the eye strain I'm trying to avoid
