There’s frustration among candidates and families as they are unable to get their KCPE results, two hours after they have been released. The Education CS Ezekiel Machogu announced the results earlier today and normally candidates can access the results immediately after the announcement.
While we had announced that candidates and parents/guardians can check the KCPE 2023 results via SMS, they are unable to get the results as expected. Sending an SMS to the short code 40054 given by CS Machogu returns the following message: “Dear customer, the KCPE 2023 results are not available. Kindly try again later after the announcement.”
The candidates filled with anticipatory anxiety to finally know how they fared in this year’s exams are getting even more stressed.
KNEC Officials have acknowledged the problem and are working to resolve the “technical issue”. Once resolved, the individual results can be accessed by sending the candidate’s Index Number followed by the initials “KCPE” to the SMS code 40054.
