Infinix Note 40 Series Wireless Charging

Infinix Note 40 Series was launched globally early this week and a local launch is in the works too. The Note 40 lineup comprises of the base Note 40, Note 40 Pro 4G, Note 40 Pro 5G and Note 40 Pro+ 5G.

The four share most design features and they will ship with Infinix’s All-Round FastCharge 2.0, the company’s upgraded ultra-fast charging now powered by their in-house built Cheetah X1 chip.

All of them support 20W wireless charging and except for the Pro Plus model, the three support 45W wired charging – the top variant supports 100W wired charging.

The Cheetah X1 chip incorporates All-round Support module, a high-precision power monitor module and a safety module.

This means that with its impressive processing efficiency per unit and intelligent algorithms, the chip eliminates the need for translation processes as current flows through the phone enabling the smartphone to offer charging functions beyond standard modes.

Charging functions under All-Round FastCharge 2.0:

  • Multi-Protocol Fast Charge
  • Reverse Charge Mode
  • Multi-Speed FastCharge
  • Bypass Charging Mode

With its wafer-level packaging technology, the chip shortens signal transmission paths and minimizes electrical signal delays, enhancing electrical performance, particularly in high-speed data transmission
and high-frequency applications.

The 20W Wireless Magcharge supported by the new Infinix MagKit for magnetic charging. The Kit also includes a MagCase for the phone, MagPower power bank and MagPad charging pad as seen with the features image above.

Infinix Note 40

Infinix Note 40 is just the Note 40 Pro 4G but with a flat screen. It has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness and FHD+ screen resolution(1080 x 2436 pixels). It is protected by Gorilla Glass.

Infinix Note 30 VIP Display

It will be powered by Mediatek Helio G99 Ultimate processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It has Android 14 and XOS 14 straight out of the box. Sadly, it wont get any Android OS upgrades like the Pro variants.

For cameras, you have a 108MP main camera without OIS and two 2MP complementary cameras. You can record 1440p video at 30fps.

The selfie camera is a 32MP front facing camera which can shoot video up to 1080p at 30fps.

The Note 40 comes with 5000mAh battery with 45W wired Type-C charging and 20W wireless MagCharge. You can get to 50% from empty in 26 minutes. The phone supports reverse wired and wireless charging as well.

Other features include IP54 water splash and dust resistant, JBL tuned speakers, and optical under-display fingerprint reader.

Color options include Obsidian Black and Titan Gold.

Pricing is slated to start from $199(Ksh 26,467) but local pricing will vary.

Infinix Note 40 Pro 4G

The Pro 4G model has the same features as the base 4G. It has a curved(55-degrees) 6.78-inch screen protected by Gorilla Glass. This is an AMOLED panel with FHD+ screen resolution(1080 x 2436 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate.

It comes with an eco-leather back version called Vintage Green as the Zero 30 5G.

The Note 40 Pro also has 12GB RAM and 12GB virtual RAM but still has the Helio G99 Ultimate chispet. It comes with Android 14 and XOS 14 and will get two years of Android Upgrades and three years of security patches.

Unlike the 45W charging of its base model, it has 70W wired charging. You also get 20W wireless charging for the 5000mAh battery. You can get to 50% from empty in 20 minutes. The phone supports reverse wired and wireless charging as well.

It uses the same camera system as the base Note 40 including the 108MP primary camera which for this model has OIS support.

Other features include IP54 water splash and dust resistant, JBL tuned speakers, and optical under-display fingerprint reader.

Color options include Vintage Green and Titan Gold.

Pricing is slated to start from $259(Ksh 34,447) but local pricing will vary.

Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G

Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G has a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness and FHD+ screen resolution(1080 x 2436 pixels). It is protected by Gorilla Glass.

Infinix Zero 30 5G Display

At its heart is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7020 chipset with 8GB RAM and 8GB virtual and 256GB storage.

It has Android 14 and XOS 14 and will get two years of Android Upgrades and three years of security patches.

It also comes with a 5000mAh battery and support for 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. You can get to 50% from empty in 26 minutes. The phone supports reverse wired and wireless charging as well.

It has the same camera setup as the Pro 4G version including the selfie camera.

Other features include IP53 water splash and dust resistant, NFC, IR blaster, JBL tuned speakers, and optical under-display fingerprint reader.

Color options include Vintage Green and Titan Gold.

Pricing is slated to start from $289(Ksh 38,447) but local pricing will vary.

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G has a 10-bit 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen with 120hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness and FHD+ screen resolution(1080 x 2436 pixels). It is protected by Gorilla Glass and a pre-applied tempered glass screen protector.

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G is powewred by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7020 chipset with 12GB RAM and 12GB virtual and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 14 and XOS 14 and will get two years of Android Upgrades and three years of security patches.

It also comes with a 5000mAh battery and support for 100W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. You can get to 50% from empty in 12 minutes. The phone supports reverse wired and wireless charging as well.

Sadly, we also get the same camera setup which means no 4K video recording for either the back or front-facing camera.

Other features include IP53 water splash and dust resistant, NFC, IR blaster, JBL tuned speakers, and optical under-display fingerprint reader.

Color options include Vintage Green and Titan Gold.

Pricing is slated to start from $309(Ksh 42,000) but local pricing will vary.
