Following an earlier FCC listing that first teased its arrival, the Infinix Note 50 series has continued to make waves through various certification appearances, giving us a clearer picture of what’s to come. The successor to last year’s well-received Note 40 lineup appears ready to shake up the mid-range smartphone market with several upgrades and features.
Adding to the mounting evidence of an imminent launch, the Infinix Note 50 Pro has now been spotted by Gizmochina on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification database bearing the model number X6855. While this latest certification doesn’t reveal detailed specifications, it strongly suggests that Infinix is preparing for a global rollout of the device.
The Note 50 series is expected to launch with multiple variants, including the base Note 50, Note 50X, Note 50 Pro, and a top-tier Note 50 Pro Plus 5G. This diverse lineup is a strategy by Infinix to cater to different price points and user needs within the mid-range segment.
Design and Build
The Note 50 Pro’s design sketches reveal a striking aesthetic evolution, featuring a dual-tone finish and a distinctive octagonal camera module on a flat rear panel. The base model Note 50 will be available in eye-catching green and pink colorways, with a slim 9mm profile that should make it comfortable to hold.
Storage and Performance
While detailed specifications remain under wraps, certification documents confirm that the Infinix Note 50 Pro will offer at least one variant with 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of storage. This configuration means the upcoming model will be well-equipped to handle demanding applications and multitasking.
Battery and Charging
The standard Note 50 will support 45W wired fast charging, which is a significant upgrade in charging capabilities. The Pro model is expected to match or exceed this charging speed, and given that its predecessor offered wireless charging support, we might see this feature return in the new series.
There has been no news on the battery size of the Note 50 series, but considering the Note 40 Pro comes with a 5000 mAh battery, there’s a good chance the Note 50 will also carry a similar battery, if not one with a higher capacity.
NFC capability has also been confirmed for the Pro model, ensuring users can take advantage of contactless payments and other proximity-based features.
Price Point
Looking at its predecessor’s pricing strategy (the Note 40 Pro 5G launched at $289 for the 8GB/256GB variant), we can expect the Note 50 series to maintain the same competitive pricing, which will likely make it a go-to phone for users who want high-end features on a budget less than KES 50,000.
We’ll keep you updated as more information on the Note 50 series becomes available.
